The Boeing 737 is a narrowbody aircraft designed to become the 727s successor. The 737 has the same front as the 727, but instead of having 3 engines, it had 2 engines. These 2 engines were positioned on the wings rather than the back of the plane and on the T-Tail. The 737 was originally envisioned in 1964. The initial 737-100 made its first flight in April 1967, and entered airline service in February 1968 at Lufthansa. Boeing recently started manufacturing a new 737 named the 737 MAX. The 737 Max is an extremely efficient version of the 737 and is being delivered to airlines.
