The Boeing 707 is Boeing's first aircraft to be manufactured. The 707 was a narrowbody 4 engine aircraft which was first flying in 1975. In 1958, the plane was bought by launch customer Pan Am. The aircraft had podded engines and was different to most other aircraft. It stopped being manufactured in 1979
The Boeing 720 was the second aircraft made by Boeing. This aircraft had no apparent difference to the 707 except that it was a smaller version. The plane was powered on Pratt and Whitney engines. The first flight of this aircraft was in 1959. Then, in 1960, United airlines bought the plane. only 154 720's were made.
